As I wrote this on a story slide this weekend I realized how central these words our to our family. Like a family motto that’s never been hung up.
“Sorrow for what we’ve lost,
Joy in what we’ve been given.
Eyes fixed on eternity
And the One who died to be with is there.”
Broken families tainted by death and divorce. Children looking forward to the restoration to come. A family living in the in-between… where sorrow and joy intermingle every day and we cling to Christ. The One who mends broken hearts this side of heaven, and will wipe away ever tear in eternity.
Do you have a family verse or motto?! Something that permeates the rhythms of your life and grounds you when the world shifts by your side? I’d love to hear it!
