Whether you fell in love with a place and don’t want to leave or you’re counting down the days…
The military has been a gentle reminder to me, a grace really, the Lord whispers to me through, “Don’t forget, I have something better.”
When we love a place, we can thank Him for the glimpses of what’s to come… and when we don’t, we can thank Him for the reminder that He’s preparing a perfect place for us to be with Him for all of eternity!
“Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 3:20 CSB
“By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents as did Isaac and Jacob, coheirs of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”
Hebrews 11:9-10 CSB
““Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.”
John 14:1-3 CSB
“So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4 CSB
