On Finding Courage & Post Run Highs

Courage does not always roar.  Sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, i’ll try again tomorrow.

April 10, 2016 will be one of those days I’ll look back to as a milestone in my life.  I have had a lot of people ask me lots of questions about my half marathon, so here we go.  I am going to try to debrief and answer some of those questions for anyone who wants to go after something seemingly impossible.

Q: How long did you train? 
A: I trained officially for 12 weeks. Starting back in January, I downloaded the Nikeplus app set up a “coach” goal, followed it, and that covered that. It had strength training days built in, rest days (my favorite), and a long distance day.
